# Add artifact\_download\_paths to command steps

Same way that `artifact_paths` uploads artifacts at the end of a command, I’d love to have `artifact_download_paths` to download them as a pre-command.

Essentially, adopt the functionality provided by the plugin here into the core: [https://github.com/buildkite-plugins/artifacts-buildkite-plugin](https://github.com/buildkite-plugins/artifacts-buildkite-plugin)
