# Can you dynamically add value to Select input attributes?

Hi @Joe

It seems like you are asking about what values you can pass to an `input step` is that correct?

If that is the case, you see in our [docs](https://buildkite.com/docs/pipelines/input-step#Notification) that you have a couple of options of what you’re able to pass to the input step.

Another suggestion I have, is if you haven’t already I would encourage you to join our [Community Slack](https://chat.buildkite.community/) if you haven’t already done so! The community Slack is a great resource for asking questions to the rest of the Buildkite community, many of whom have a ton of experience with Buildkite and are very happy to help answer any questions you might have!
