The “Open Terminal” button eventually resolves to “No such job.”
Is SSH supposed to work on the macOS agents? Without, it’s very time intensive to setup a custom pipeline, as the image is not transparent.

yes, based on the Buildkite documentation you should have an ssh access to MacOs hosted agents.
